Socks for Tess
Using sock yarn sent to me by auntieknits quite a while ago (sorry it took so long!). I don't like the focus on this one. I'll have to take another when the light is good.

7 Days - Day 2. Killing birds with stones
The theme for today is RELAX. It just so happens that I put my feet up to take this picture of the socks I just finished. This counts as my FO photo, too! Yay!

WIP - socks
I've been working on these for a while, but haven't gotten around to taking any pictures of them. Almost done!

365.071 - Dad's socks, take 3
Switched to the largest size (82 stitches) and a 3x3 rib. Despite each sock being 82 stitches, the socks are progressing more quickly than I expected.

Ma's socks
Started, frogged, and restarted. I'm pretty confident I got the size right this time. I'll finish in the next couple of days and should be able to mail these off very soon.

Mmm, socks. I love knitting socks.
I even kind of wish I were still a DPN girl, just because socks look better on DPNs. I don't think I'll go that far, though...at least, not with stockinette.

Rainy Day short row heels
Loosely based on the Magknits pattern. Mods: toe-up, 2 at once, short row heels, twisted rib cuff, sewn cast-off.

Rainy day socks, kinda
Very quick and easy, especially because I didn't follow the posted recipe. I made these two-at-once, toe-up, with magic loop on size 3mm needles. Oh, and short-row heels instead of flap and gusset. I didn't do the picot bind-off, either, just twisted rib.

Rainy Day socks, kind of
I'm really just using the stitch pattern. I'm knitting them toe-up and used short-row heels. This is my BMFA handspun.

You can move your feet now.
Seriously, you don't need ME to show off your socks. This is getting old, Mommy. I have butt-licking to do, and I don't need all of Ravelry to see that.

Stop putting your feet near my face
Just because I wake you up by sticking my feet on your face doesn't mean I like it.

Sock progress
My fingertips are all rather pink. See the color of the cable on my circs? That's an Addi Turbo. Not an Addi Lace. It's supposed to be gold.

Ravelympics WIP no. 1 down
All I had to do was weave in the ends and take FO pictures. Only one FO picture turned out well thanks to my thick ankles and Mister's tendency to sit between me and the camera during timer shots.

I used Wendy Johnson's toe-up gusset heels, which fit fabulously. The only problem is that I intended these socks to be for my mom (her feet are two sizes smaller than mine), but they fit me. On the one hand, I'm thrilled to have another pair of socks for myself, but on the other, Ma doesn't have as many pairs of handknit socks as I do. Plus, these are perfect in just about every way. The stripes MATCH. That was completely unintended, and I didn't notice until they were finished.
