365.077 - Spring is near
Packet went out in her playpen today, and instead of turning right around because the cold wind was touching her fur or because there was snow touching her paws, she stayed outside, exposing her belly to the world and the elements, as if to say, 'BOOP ME, WORLD!' (Her Boop isn't visible in this photo.)

365.076 - Pinball wizard
I'm not into video games, RPGs, board games, or organized sports (I don't PLAY hockey, I just follow it). I go weak in the knees about pinball games, though. Do you know how hard it is to find pinball games these days? Ones that work? This one is Spider Man. I've only got the 3rd highest score, but given enough time and pocket change, I'll nab all the high scores!

365.075 - Tess straightened my hair
My hair didn't like being straightened. You could practically hear it trying to suck moisture from the air and sproing back into curls. I didn't mind it at all, because I'll sit through just about anything as long as someone's playing with my hair. Packet was unaffected by the change, but Darren said, 'Your hair looks really....flat.' The curls are back now.

365.074 - Boy, that window needs to be cleaned.
Packet likes to sit in this basement window, soaking up the sun and watching stuff move. She can't get in the window by herself, though, so she waits for me to put her there. She can jump down by herself, at least. That's something.

365.073 - Packet guards the chili
She clearly disregards my request to guard it from the floor and not the table.

365.072 - Stre-e-etch
I saw a couple of other 365-ers doing this, and I needed a good stretch, anyway. Just reaching the floor has never been a challenge, except on my worst days, and even then it just takes a few minutes to get there. I don't even know if this is a valid stretch position; I just know it helps plant my hands while really stretching out my hamstrings and lower back.

365.071 - Dad's socks, take 3
Switched to the largest size (82 stitches) and a 3x3 rib. Despite each sock being 82 stitches, the socks are progressing more quickly than I expected.

365.070 Princess Packet, indeed
Packet's one remaining throwback to the days when she would sit on my shoulder or my head and let me walk around the house: She will step from her spot on the yarn dresser onto my back, if I bend over, and she'll stand on my back while I transport her where she wants to go. She has good sea-legs, I'll give her that, especially for a cat who's afraid to jump up on things if she can't see the tops of them.

365.069 - Blue screens make my heart race
And not in a good way, even when the blue screen is a good thing. I reinstalled XP last night, and now I'm in the middle of downloading/updating all my favorite programs to get back in the swing of things. The computer is definitely running better now. Ubuntu didn't agree with me.

365.068 - After (a 4-day break)
I missed taking pictures Tuesday - Friday of this week. Oh, well. They wouldn't have been exciting, anyway. I spent that time wrestling with Ubuntu. Today, I decided to stick with Windows for now and wrestle with my dad's socks, instead.

365.063 - Before the frog
These are the socks I'm making for Dad, in their first incarnation. Today I decided, after getting to the heels, that they're too skinny and too short, so I ripped them out completely and started over anew. Part of me hates losing all that work; part of me doesn't mind a bit because I'm a process knitter.

365.062 - Classy
Found in the Billy K's restroom. This was the only picture I took that day, so it's the 365. I've been fighting with Ubuntu for about a week now, and I didn't keep up with my photos like I wanted to.

365.061 - Darren dressed to match the new car
This is our latest car, since the Mazda died. It's a '99 Chevy Cavalier Z-24 (up here, that's pronounced 'ZED twenty four'). Jenn's nephew made sure everything is in tip-top shape for us, but we have to clean the interior. I think the previous owner had two kids, so there are crumbs and spills and a mysterious large brown stain on the back seat.

365.060 - Fine, I'll model your socks.
Packet is so sweet, isn't she? So I finished Ma's socks, and I hope they're the right size this time. The slip-stitch heel is tricky to guesstimate - for me, at least.

365.059 - Welcome to America
Seriously, we're not even 5 miles away from the border and we find this at the mall: a Proactiv VENDING MACHINE. Like, you swipe your credit card, punch in your selection, and products get pushed out like candy bars. Seriously.

365.058 - Surveillance footage
Packet really likes tents. If you drape a towel or blanket over any furniture, she will hide in there. Even if it's a Spongebob throw.

365.057 - Dalton and Harper taxes
Breakfast receipt from the other day. Notice that instead of PST and GST, they have the sales tax amounts listed as Dalton (McGuinty)'s and (Stephen) Harper's taxes. Cute. In other news, I'm eating eggs again. Go, me!

365.056 - I'm not chewing on my hair
Darren sees me doing this and tells me to stop chewing on my hair. I'm not. I like to rub it on my lips. I actually do that with lots of soft things. So there.

365.055 - Dancer's bazaar in Ottawa
Jenn, Sandra, Michelle, and I went up to Ottawa on Sunday to a Dancer's Bazaar, where lots of jewelry, videos, music, and hip scarves were for sale. I already have a hip scarf, so I didn't get anything, but I had a good time and got to look at all kinds of neat stuff.

365.054 - catch-up - snow, again
Looks like I didn't take any pictures on Saturday, so this one from Sunday morning will have to do. I like taking pictures of the plows and snowblowers and stuff, just because Cincinnati doesn't have the plow army that Ontario does. This is one of the smaller plows - the ones that clean the 401 are like army tanks.
