Day 4. I skipped one.
Yesterday didn't seem to be long enough for me to take a picture. Today I'm back to baking - making pumpkin puree to be used in this recipe, but I'll be making muffins instead of loaves. Even though I didn't ask for a Christmas miracle this year, I ended up with Christmas Eve off as well as Christmas and Boxing Day.

Day 7 - My new phone takes bad pictures
Today, I got a new SMRTphone (Nokia X7). It has an 8MP camera, but instead of a regular flash, it has an exceptionally bright dual LED which has to be something like looking into a twin quasar. I don't normally have a problem with red-eye in my photos, but in this case, the red was the most vibrant color in the photo.
Still getting used to the new toy.

Day 6 - That'll teach me
I kept forgetting to take a 7 Days photo today, and after midnight I was just going to go to bed and take an extra one tomorrow. Then I stepped on a shard of a plate I broke yesterday over in the kitchen. I have no idea how the shard got to the living room in front of my chair, but I found it! While I was sitting here checking Facebook and getting tired, my foot was bleeding profusely and I didn't know it until I got up. So here ya go - the little puddle of blood that is the result of me trying to postpone my 7 Days photo.

Day 4 - Knitting in the break room
Definitely not the same as smoking in the boys' room. I wouldn't be doing that, anyway. I still haven't scraped up the courage to take any photos in the store itself, but that's going to be hard anyway, since I can't carry a purse or bag around with me while I'm working. There was one other person in the break room when I took this, but she was paying more attention to her phone, so I don't even think she saw me.

Day 3 - Happy things
It seemed like everyone was eating grapes over the weekend, so I picked up a few of them for myself today. The red bra peeking out isn't an accident, either, BONNIE. Red lacy bras are definitely a happy thing. As are the first few handfuls of sweet green seedless grapes.
Incidentally, after all the outtakes and out-of-focus shots, I'm *not* hungry for grapes anymore.

7 Days - Day 7 - back to studying
When you take an online course, IT'S ALL HOMEWORK. Let's just get that straight. The last time I was in school, I rarely did my homework because in most cases, I could pass my tests just by paying attention in class. Now that I don't have a physical class to attend, I have to go through and write down everything to make sure it doesn't slide out of my brain while I'm sleeping. Medical Terminology is my favorite type of class: all vocabulary. Writing out definitions and word parts makes me kind of happy, even though my hand hurts and I can't write properly on the pages where the spiral rings press into my hand. Good thing I probably won't have to reread these notes. It should be enough to remember that I wrote them.

7 Days - Day 4: That's what I get
For following directions. It's a good thing I don't mind cranberry sauce with my turkey dinners, because this stuff oozed all over the peas and potatoes. Did it touch the turkey? NO. Whatever. Just a quick 'oh-no-I-forgot-to-take-a-picture-today' shot at 11:54pm.

7 Days, Day 3 - I got my vitamin D
It's after 5pm, so I felt safe to sit on the deck and spin some yarn for a few minutes without getting a burn. If the whole summer stays like this (blue and green and under 85°), I'll be OK with it. I do prefer colder weather, but Darren is adamant about not moving any farther north.

7 Days - Day 2 - Black
Sorry I didn't do my hair or makeup for today's selfie, but at least I stuck to the theme. I changed the desktop on my black PC to solid black.

Sitting in a comfy chair, listening to the 11th Sookie book, and knitting...while Packet wreaks havoc on the computer desk.
True Blood starts 6/25. I'm so glad the books are so different from the series. It's like getting twice the story.

7 Days, Day 5 - Make up my mind
What do I want to do with my life? I've narrowed down my options to two: medical transcription or massage therapy. Medical transcription would fulfill my need to constantly proofread and edit everything. Massage therapy would fulfill my desire to ...well, to become a massage therapist. Do I flip a coin, or what?

7 Days, Day 4
Waiting for an appointment. I haven't made a pair of socks in about a year, I think. My portable projects are all dishcloths now. I'm not sure how I feel about that yet. I didn't take a picture yesterday, so this is my catch-up. No big whoop.

7 Days, Day 3.
It snew. I started my day by walking a quarter of a mile through a FRAKE ATTACK to the bus stop, riding the bus, disembarking at the wrong stop on the wrong street, walking to the correct address on another wrong street, and then pretty much giving up. I took another bus to Darren's work and took the car for the rest of my errands.
