The Dude in a ditch
Normally, the Dude abides. Tonight, he got distracted by the frake attack and froke right the fuck out. I was driving along at 40kph when he just LOST IT, fishtailed wildly across the road, and spun 180° while sliding down the embankment. If it weren't for that tree, we might have kept sliding all night.

Seriously, though, I saw that tree heading straight for Darren's door and all I could do was say, "I love you."

The wheel-well and tire took the impact, though, and not his door, thank goodness. From this angle, you can't even tell there's anything wrong, except that I shouldn't be able to photograph my car from above.

The tow truck guy said that the steering rod is broken, the axle probably bent, and he can smell fuel.

Then we got home and Darren's computer was dead.

Merry effing Christmas.

7 Days, Day 2 - DOWN
As in, I'm down with winter. Today, I went down to the bus stop in some snow that was coming down in soft, fluffy buckets. This afternoon, the snow was so fluffy, it looked like down feathers. My alternate plan was to find an OPP officer and have him pose with me, but I'm not sure he would have been down with that.

Frake carcasses outside the window
This is the side of the house that faces west, so this is kind of an exaggeration...but not much of one.

I've interrupted my breakfast to bring you this shocking snapshot of snowfrakes attacking our driveway.

April snow brings May...uh...um...
Just leaned out the front door and took this. Whee! I don't have to go anywhere today, so I'm happy!

New kid on the rock
Say hello to Moon, Jenn's new barn cat. She's still rather kittenish, but she is very friendly. Her job is to kill them meece. I think she might be blind or something in her right eye - there's a bluish tint and the pupil seems to react to light/dark less than the other eye. Also, there's snow on her because it snew today. Frakes were attacking nonstop for several hours.

52 weeks, week 8 - It snew.
This is taken out the front door. That road behind me is a highway. 2 seconds prior to taking this picture, Darren was complaining about all the cold air I was letting in.

Oh dang. Now everyone will know the flowers are fake.
The wishing well in the front yard.

We can't hide the garbage can anymore, either
I mean, we can hide it UNDER THE SNOW, but it's directly in front of the door now. That's only 24 hrs of accumulation, by the way. Garbage day was yesterday.

The sight that greeted me when I bothered to look outside this morning
Dear God, it's a FRAKE ATTACK! RUN FOR YOUR LIVES!

7 Days - Day 2. Winter Solstice.
Well, I got the winter part, anyway. I can totally explain the look on my face. In the absence of a tripod, I sat the camera on the roof of my car, and I swear I thought it was starting to slide off. I actually squeezed the remote because I was ready to run and catch it.

If you can't see the road, just drive between the rows of mailboxes
Darren's uncle is on vacation over Christmas, so naturally, there's a giant Frake Attack and we have to brave the elephants to feed his cats.

I mean elements. Brave the elements.

Neighbor's shed
There was a frake attack yesterday (Oct 28), and it still hasn't melted. The roads are fine, though. Just a little slushy in some areas.
