7 Days - Day 6, COOKIES
I skipped Day 5. I have no excuse, other than I got hooked on Cafe World on Facebook and didn't feel like photographing anything 'night'-related. I might make it up; I might not. Today, I feel more like a team player. Also, Cafe World is down today. It's a coincidence, though, I swear. Anyway, I made cookies for the first time in MANY years. These are called Preacher Cookies, and they're really more like cookie-shaped fudge. Those who know me and my sugar-loving ways will be impressed when I tell you that my sweet tooth is sated by just one of these bad boys. I know they look like horse manure, but I'm guessing they taste much better. Nosy people are welcome to embiggen for snooping. :)

It was very nice of Packet to let me use her as today's dishcloth model.

Painted desert (round) dishcloth
Second one. This one has strange holes around the center because I thought slipping that last stitch might make the center less bulky. Hm.

Round dishcloth no. 5
The first 4 were done during Ravelympics, but I kept going to see how many I could get out of one giant skein of cotton yarn. Answer: 6.5.

Invisible cast-on
So I finally kinda figured out the invisible cast-on from Knittinghelp.com - the one that seems too easy to be true - and I think if I tighten up the stitches next time I can get it to look neater. Shown also is one of my hi-tech dishrag needles: I stick point protectors on the ends of DPNs because that's all I need for 21 sts. Bigger needles just get in my way. Normally I just use the long-tail cast-on, but this time I got wild.

Ravelympics dishcloth no. 1
I've already started the second. Made with size 4 needles using a giant skein of Bernat Cotton. I actually finished this yesterday, but didn't get around to uploading until today.
