Epic blanket is epic. Also finished.
I started this blanket as 'mindless knitting' the week of my surgery (first week of April), finished it last night. It's big enough to wrap up in completely or put on a bed, which might not be fully appreciated for a couple of months...but it's better to have it done now.

Socks for Tess
Using sock yarn sent to me by auntieknits quite a while ago (sorry it took so long!). I don't like the focus on this one. I'll have to take another when the light is good.

FO: Hallowig
Modeled by its recipient, the lovely Tess. I made it a bit long in the bangs, which resulted in a pointy front. Mayhaps I'll make another with less pointy. Still, she's cute as all get-out.

7 Days, Day 4 - 52 Weeks, Week 7
In my favorite jammie-pants, knitting one of these for a friend's daughter, watching the Sarah Connor Chronicles. I wanted a picture with Packet in my lap, but she up and left faster than I could even grab the remote for the camera.

Kitten Mittens - it's been so long!
I've had these on hold for months, maybe a whole year. I don't know. I finally picked them back up again last week, and I knit on them while I'm not plying Mom's sweater yarn. I'm not much of a fair isle person, but this is an almost-intuitive pattern, and I did get one of those magnet-board things for Christmas. That helps a lot.

Hockey knitting
Took a dishcloth with me to the Sens game. I can mostly knit these without looking.

7 Days, Day 7: FOs Spiral Shawl and 7 Days
In knitterly circles, FO = Finished Object. I finished a shawl and another installment of 7 days, so this photo does double duty (I think I already did that for my Day 2, too).

Bye for now, everyone! See you next time!

Blocking the ...shawl or tablecloth. Whichever.
So it's not big enough to be a tablecloth unless I use it like this, with string running through all the loops on the edge and cinched. I don't like how this looks, so that brings us back to 'it's not big enough to be a tablecloth'. Maybe someone I know has a smaller table. I still like it, though.

WIP - socks
I've been working on these for a while, but haven't gotten around to taking any pictures of them. Almost done!

Demonstrating the Clapotis's spookiness factor
It's not as solid as a full cape, but it drapes nicely.

Sock yarn choices
Gonna see which one my sister prefers (for the knitters who are wondering, we have Dizzy Blonde Yarns in the JenLa colorway, Knit Picks Essential in the Lantana colorway, and Sunshine Yarns in the Daring colorway).

365.071 - Dad's socks, take 3
Switched to the largest size (82 stitches) and a 3x3 rib. Despite each sock being 82 stitches, the socks are progressing more quickly than I expected.

365.068 - After (a 4-day break)
I missed taking pictures Tuesday - Friday of this week. Oh, well. They wouldn't have been exciting, anyway. I spent that time wrestling with Ubuntu. Today, I decided to stick with Windows for now and wrestle with my dad's socks, instead.

365.063 - Before the frog
These are the socks I'm making for Dad, in their first incarnation. Today I decided, after getting to the heels, that they're too skinny and too short, so I ripped them out completely and started over anew. Part of me hates losing all that work; part of me doesn't mind a bit because I'm a process knitter.

365.060 - Fine, I'll model your socks.
Packet is so sweet, isn't she? So I finished Ma's socks, and I hope they're the right size this time. The slip-stitch heel is tricky to guesstimate - for me, at least.
