April snow brings May...uh...um...
Just leaned out the front door and took this. Whee! I don't have to go anywhere today, so I'm happy!

What he was flipping off
We got a whole 2 inches of snow, almost. I went out later, after he left, and shoveled a clear path from the car to the front door. Also, this was last week.

52 weeks, week 8 - It snew.
This is taken out the front door. That road behind me is a highway. 2 seconds prior to taking this picture, Darren was complaining about all the cold air I was letting in.

Oh dang. Now everyone will know the flowers are fake.
The wishing well in the front yard.

We can't hide the garbage can anymore, either
I mean, we can hide it UNDER THE SNOW, but it's directly in front of the door now. That's only 24 hrs of accumulation, by the way. Garbage day was yesterday.

Horses are in the barn, sun's going down. Must be time to eat.
And that's what we did.

365.054 - catch-up - snow, again
Looks like I didn't take any pictures on Saturday, so this one from Sunday morning will have to do. I like taking pictures of the plows and snowblowers and stuff, just because Cincinnati doesn't have the plow army that Ontario does. This is one of the smaller plows - the ones that clean the 401 are like army tanks.

365.053 - Patience is almost a year old!
We're going to have to start using giant, exaggerated air quotes when we talk about THE BABY, since she's about as big as her mommy now and is going to be much bigger. Doesn't she make a gorgeous redhead?

365.044 - Spooky fog
It's warm enough (in the 40s!) for the snow to get all melty and foggy. And look how small the driveway snow banks are! Gosh, we can even see the street.

365.035 - About winter
One of the few things I dislike about winter: not being able to see out the windows. Salt, fog, and dirt. Then again, when I clean the windows, all I get to see are snow mountains anyway.

365.032 - Baby snowbank
This is me, standing next to a small snowbank in the Loeb's parking lot. I'm 5'8.

365.031 - Deeper than Packet is tall
I was pretty much sitting with the camera level to the height of the snowdrift on Packet's deck. See how the patio door is open? See how Packet just wants to sniff her air? We go through this almost everyday.

365.028 - Ouellette
This is the street we live on. We haven't seen the actual pavement for over a week. For the Cincinnati folks back home, I still need to get a shot of a proper snow plow and a sidewalk snowblower.

365.004 Shoveling and working the remote at the same time
Note that I'm wearing The Sweater. This was one of my first knitting projects, before I came to appreciate the power of gauge. It's 16°F outside, and this sweater kept me plenty warm, thanks to its being knit with double-stranded Wool-Ease throughout.

Good thing I like snow. Sheesh.

Darren was behind me brushing the snow off the car
So I decided to test out my new camera. Got a Canon SD 770 IS Elph (refurb) for my birthday...it's pretty much the same as my last P&S. I'm very happy to once again have a camera that fits in my pocket. And one that will accomodate arm's length self-portraits.

7 Days - Day 2. Winter Solstice.
Well, I got the winter part, anyway. I can totally explain the look on my face. In the absence of a tripod, I sat the camera on the roof of my car, and I swear I thought it was starting to slide off. I actually squeezed the remote because I was ready to run and catch it.

If you can't see the road, just drive between the rows of mailboxes
Darren's uncle is on vacation over Christmas, so naturally, there's a giant Frake Attack and we have to brave the elephants to feed his cats.

I mean elements. Brave the elements.

Pawprints going away from the barn
The large prints at the bottom are mine, but the small ones are not.

Whose toes are those?
I'm holding out hope that it's Little Man. I went up there today, but didn't see any cats.
